San Juan County officials say they are very concerned by the number of health insurance coverage denials for emergency flights to mainland hospitals.
Patients-through no fault of their own-are being hit with 20 thousand-dollar bills for those flights ordered by doctors.
KIRO 7’s Jesse Jones tells us now the state has launched an investigation into the handling of these cases.
