Ransomware attacks have hit cities like Atlanta and Baltimore hard, costing taxpayers millions of dollars to repair and recover those systems.
Now the hackers are hitting school districts.
In Walcott, Connecticut, an attack of its school district in June still has teachers and students without email and lesson plans.
The question is…can this happen here?
KIRO 7’s Jesse Jones asked cyber security experts if local districts are protected.
